'Suffocation Games' Among Kids Turn Fatal

Kids are choking themselves for the fun of it, sometimes fatally. In at least nine states in recent years, kids have been seriously injured
or killed by "suffocation games" designed to induce a drug-like "high." Last week in Island Park, Idaho, Dalton Eby, 10, was buried after he accidentally
hanged himself from a tree. He and a friend regularly played a game using a rope to cut off oxygen to the brain.
The high-risk game is known variously as "blackout," "funky chicken," "space monkey," "flatliner," "tingling," and "suffocation roulette." Middle-school
kids as young as 10 try it —— some in groups, some alone —— using belts, hands, ropes or plastic bags. Older teens may do it to increase sexual pleasure,
and many young ones and most of the girls are seeking a non-drug high.
"When they strangle themselves and then release the pressure, it creates a tingling sensation in their upper body, especially their arms and head. And they
think that's cool," says Sheriff Ralph Davis of Fremont County, Idaho, where Eby died.
Fuck that, I'd rather get high. It might kill me one of these days, but at least it won't do it immediately, unless I'm really dumb, that is, which I'm not.
Wow yeah I'm with dots. That's just trippy, but isn't there something along those lines, but it's done with a gun? I think i remember hearing about the gun roulette or whatever it was called, but now this choking one....Kids are strange.
Haha, I guess I asn't as strange a child as I thought after all. I never even thought of doing shit like that. I didn't even hold my breath until i passed out, or played that game where you bang your head up against a wall or whatever it's called. I'm ahippie...all about the love and totally against violence, though I won't back away from kicking someone's ass if they deserve it.

The first thing that popped into my head upon seeing this post title was 'Wow, kinky'. However, the thought of really young kids doing it--not to mention actually dying from it, no less--is just creepy. X__X;;;
